Nathan is a fourth year medical student at Queens Belfast with a keen interest in academic medicine and molecular research. In addition to being on the Pharmaware NC, he is the current Belfast Branch President of medsin and represents belfast on the Royal Society of Medicine Student Members Group committee. Within the field of global health his interests lie in the issue of water and the discussions surrounding the post-2015 agenda.

Emily Ward

Picture
Emily was involved in Medsin (a network of globally thinking medical students) at Newcastle medical school. Wary that nothing comes for free she wondered about free lunches, pens, torniquets etc being thrust at them. Through Medsin Emily worked with PharmAware, a network of students educating on the pharamaceutical industry: the reason we needed good statistical analysis of papers, what negative publishing bias meant and what 'Ghostbusting' journal writers meant. Joining Healthy Skeptism was a way to ensure we continue to try to learn and educate about the industry and its affect on our patients. Emily now works as junior doctor in Dundee.

MERAV KLINER

Jeni is involved in undergraduate teaching and post graduate GP training. She teaches a course on the relationships between doctors and the pharmaceutical industry, which is available to second year medical students.
